North Cork League 2020 – Entries by 17 Sept 2020

Members who wish to take part are invited to contact the club by Thursday 17th Sept, 2020, hosted this year by Kilworth Tennis Club, by text/WhatsApp to 083 058 3923 or email mitchelstowntennisclub@gmail.com.

Each team will consist of 4 players, 2 men and 2 ladies, except Division 4 which is for Novice Ladies only. We would ask that each player goes through the North Cork League Rules 2020 to ensure familiarity and we would draw your attention in particular to the following:

Division Grade Play-By Day Comments
Ladies Novice Novice Wednesdays Novice Grade 6. Four Doubles Matches. First to 9 games, tie-break at 8-8.
3 6 Sundays 1 Men’s Doubles, 1 Women’s Doubles and 2 Mixed Doubles.
2 5 Saturdays 1 Men’s Doubles, 1 Women’s Doubles and 2 Mixed Doubles.
1 4 Fridays 1 Men’s Doubles, 1 Women’s Doubles and 2 Mixed Doubles.
Premier 1,2,3 Thursdays 1 Men’s Doubles, 1 Women’s Doubles and 2 Mixed Doubles.

Only one Grade 1 player will be allowed to play in this Division and Grades 2 & 3 combined (No pairing to be both Grade 2, except in super doubles champions’ tie break in the knockout stages). The Grade 1 player can only play with a grade 3 player and cannot play in the super doubles champions’ tie break.

Games must be played on or before the days specified – in the order specified on the fixture dates list. Where an agreement cannot be reached games will be played on the designated night. All games must be played in the order that they are drawn. Note if drawn to play at home and a club event conflicts for that date (e.g. Coaching) then the team may have to forfeit home advantage.

Teams will be selected by the club in line with the latest Team Selection Policy which members should refer to when expressing an interest in taking part in Munster Branch/Regional competitions.

The club shall cover the Entry Fee of the team (€60 per team). League is due to commence Sept 23rd.

Note that the number of teams entered may be limited, subject to court availability.
